Claims filed prior to November 16, 2012, will continue to be processed and evaluated for reimbursement.
In order to complete the process of evaluating currently pending claims, all necessary documentation must have been provided to BP and emailed, faxed or postmarked no later than November 30, 2012. Documentation provided after this deadline may not be considered in the evaluation of your claim and your claim may be denied as a result.
Claims examiners will evaluate all information and supporting documents you provide in a timely manner. You will be reimbursed for legitimate expenses -- payments will be issued to vehicle owners for the expenses incurred. BP will make a direct payment to a repair facility, provided the consumer has agreed to these arrangements with the examiner. Once the claim is documented and upon final review, the payment will be issued. If you submitted a claim for reimbursement of cash payments, your claim may take longer to process. BP is processing legitimate claims as quickly as possible and working to complete processing of all claims by the end of the year.
